Support Specialist
Adult and Youth Services
15-19/hrs
Join us and make a difference in the lives of others! The Adult and Youth Services program is looking for a Support Specialist to provide mentoring for adults and youth with special needs in the areas of daily life skills (budgeting, grocery shopping, self-care, social activities, etc.) and supported employment. You must be at least 18 years of age. For applicants 21 or over, you will be required to drive clients to their scheduled appointments in the Salt Lake Valley. You will need a good driving record, a current drivers license, current auto insurance, and reliable transportation. We require a high school diploma or equivalent and we prefer a minimum of six months related experience. Benefits include a flexible schedule, vacation and sick leave, 401(k) options, and mileage reimbursement at 50 cents per mile. A background screen and motor vehicle report are done on all new employees.

Program Assistant/29 hours
Early Head Start - 4500 South
We are looking for a professional and responsible individual to provide administrative support to our Early Head Start office. Bilingual Spanish is preferred but not required. This position is part-time (29 hrs/wk) and is available in our Early Head Start Program at our 4500 South location. You must have good knowledge of basic office equipment such as phone systems, fax machines, lamination machines, copiers, printers, etc. Data entry will be a big part of this position; therefore, you must possess good typing skills (at least 40 wpm), have great attention to detail, and be fast and accurate in your work. Driving may be required on occasion; therefore, you must be at least 21 years of age, have a current driver license and car insurance, and a good driving record. A background screen and motor vehicle report are performed on all new employees. This position comes with vacation, sick and personal leave, retirement and 401(k) options through the Utah Retirement Systems, 18 pai d holidays, a flexible schedule, and mileage reimbursement.

Family Advocate-Bilingual Spanish
40 hours
Early Head Start - 4500 South
A full-time 40 hour position has become available for a Family Advocate-Bilingual Spanish in our Early Head Start program at our 4500 South site. The Family Advocate provides services for pregnant women, and for children and their families in the areas of early childhood development, disabilities, child health and safety, nutrition, prenatal education, and family partnerships. Job duties include: Conducting weekly home visits to provide education, referrals, and other advisory services to program participants; Assisting parents and pregnant women in ensuring that their health and mental health needs are met; Providing emotional support for families and assisting them in their role as an advocate for their child. Driving is required so you must be at least 21, have reliable transportation, a current driver’s license, car insurance, and good driving record. A background screen and motor vehicle report will be done on all new hires. A bachelor’s degree in Human Development, Family Studies, Child Development or a related field is preferred and a minimum of one year of related experience in early childhood education, family services, or another related field is required. Knowledge of community resources is a plus. A part-time (19 hrs/wk) position has become available for a Family Advocate Coach in our Early Head Start program at our 4500 South site. The Family Advocate Coach provides services for children and their families in the areas of positive adult-child interactions, sensory rich environments, developmentally appropriate activities and practices for children and their families while promoting school readiness and high quality learning. The Coach will also support the professional development of Family Advocates in their work with children and families. Driving is required so you must be at least 21, have reliable transportation, a current driver license, car insurance, and a good driving record. A bachelor=s degree in Human Development, Family Studies, Child Development or a related field is preferred and a minimum of one year of related experience in early childhood education, family services, or another related field is required. Somali Interpreter

DDI VANTAGE Early Intervention program in Salt Lake City provides home-based services to special needs children from birth to three. We are looking for an on-call Somali Interpreter to accompany therapists to the homes of the children and families we serve to provide oral interpretation and written translation services. This position requires a minimum of one year of related experience in interpreting and translating in Somali. Driving will be required therefore you must be at least 21, have a current driver license, car insurance, reliable transportation and a good driving record. A background screen and motor vehicle report will be run on all new hires. This position comes with some benefits including a flexible schedule and mileage reimbursement.

Burmese Interpreter
Early Intervention
DDI VANTAGE provides home-based early intervention services to special needs children from birth to three. We are looking for a part-time Burmese Interpreter to accompany staff to the homes of the children and families we serve to provide oral interpretation and written translation services. This position requires a minimum of one year of related experience in interpreting and translating in Burmese. Driving will be required therefore you must be at least 21, have a current driver license, car insurance, reliable transportation and a good driving record. A background screen and motor vehicle report will be run on all new hires. This position comes with some benefits including a flexible schedule and mileage reimbursement.

Karin Interpreter
Early Intervention
DDI VANTAGE provides home-based early intervention services to special needs children from birth to three. We are looking for an on-call Karin Interpreter to accompany staff to the homes of the children and families we serve to provide oral interpretation and written translation services. This position requires a minimum of one year of related experience in interpreting and translating in Karin. Driving will be required therefore you must be at least 21, have a current driver license, car insurance, reliable transportation and a good driving record. We offer mileage reimbursement at .50 per mile.

Kurdish Interpreter
Early Intervention

We are looking for an on-call Kurdish Interpreter to accompany staff to the homes of the children and families we serve to provide oral interpretation and written translation services. This position requires a minimum of one year of related experience in interpreting and translating in Kurdish. Driving will be required therefore you must be at least 21, have a current driver license, car insurance, reliable transportation and a good driving record.
