OPEN POSITIONS:

Secretary - 29 hours/week
Early Head Start - 4500 South
We are looking for a professional and responsible individual to provide administrative support to our Early Head Start office. Bilingual Spanish is preferred but not required. This position is part-time (29 hrs/wk) and is available in our Early Head Start Program at our 4500 South location. You must have good knowledge of basic office equipment such as phone systems, fax machines, lamination machines, copiers, printers, etc. Data entry will be a big part of this position; therefore, you must possess good typing skills (at least 40 wpm), have great attention to detail, and be fast and accurate in your work. Driving may be required on occasion; therefore, you must be at least 21 years of age, have a current driver license and car insurance, and a good driving record. A background screen and motor vehicle report are performed on all new employees. This position comes with vacation, sick and personal leave, retirement and 401(k) options through the Utah Retirement Systems, 18 paid holidays, a flexible schedule, and mileage reimbursement.

Janitor - 3 hours/week
Early Head Start, EHS-CC
The Early Head Start - Child Care program in Salt Lake City is seeking a Janitor to work part-time (3 hr/wk). In this position you will keep offices, meeting areas, and other areas of the building clean and in an orderly condition. We are looking for a candidate that is thorough, detailed, and takes pride in their work. We offer vacation, sick leave, and 401(k). This job requires a high school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of three months related experience or training. A background screen is conducted on all new hires.

Registered Nurse
Early Intervention - Tooele
Are you looking for a rewarding career making a difference in the life of a child? The Early Intervention program serves special needs children from birth to 3 years old. We are currently looking to hire a part-time (29 hr/wk) Registered Nurse to work at our Tooele site. In this position you will be part of an evaluation team doing medical assessments on infants and toddlers in their homes to determine eligibility for our program. You must have a Utah RN license. We prefer some pediatric experience, however, we will train the right candidate in early intervention. Driving will be required for this position, therefore you must be at least 21, have a good driving record, a current license and car insurance, and reliable transportation. Family Advocate - Bilingual Spanish
Early Head Start - Taylorsville
A part-time (19 hrs/wk) position has become available for a Family Advocate at our Early Head Start program in Taylorsville. The Family Advocate provides services for pregnant women and for children and their families in the areas of early childhood development, disabilities, child health and safety, nutrition, prenatal education, and family partnerships. Job duties include: Conducting weekly home visits to provide education, referrals, and other advisory services to program participants; Assisting parents and pregnant women in ensuring that their health and mental health needs are met; Providing emotional support for families and assisting them in their role as an advocate for their child. Driving is required so you must be at least 21, have reliable transportation, a current driver license, car insurance, and a good driving record. A bachelors degree in Human Development, Family Studies, Child Development or a related field and a minimum of one year of related experience in early childhood education, family services, or other related fields are required. Knowledge of community resources is a plus. Health Services Specialist
Early Head Start - CC
The Early Head Start Program provides services to pregnant women, infants and toddlers up to three years of age. We are currently looking for a part-time Health Services Specialist to ensure compliance with program goals related to the health and development of children and pregnant women in the program. This job requires a bachelors degree in health services or a related field and a minimum of one year related experience in public health, health education, maternal and child health, or a related field. Knowledge of child development, family dynamics, and knowledge of community resources is a plus. Physical Therapist
Early Intervention - East
A position has become available for a part-time (8 hrs/week) Physical Therapist for our East site. In this position you will serve as a member of a multi-disciplinary team to provide home-based direct individual treatment to enhance the child’s motor, sensorimotor, and self-help development and facilitate parents and care givers in implementing a home program to achieve the desired outcomes. This job requires a qualifying degree in physical therapy from an accredited college or university and Utah state licensure. A background working with infants and toddlers is a plus. Spanish Interpreter-Tooele
Early Intervention
DDI VANTAGE provides home-based Early Intervention services to special needs children from birth to three and we are looking for an on-call Spanish Interpreter to accompany providers to the homes of clients to provide oral interpretation and written translation for the families they serve. This position requires a minimum of one year of related experience in interpreting and translating. Driving will be required therefore, you must have a current driver license, car insurance, reliable transportation and a good driving record. We offer mileage reimbursement at 50 cents per mile. A motor vehicle report and background screen are run on all new hires.

Somali Interpreter
Early Intervention
DDI VANTAGE Early Intervention program in Salt Lake City provides home-based services to special needs children from birth to three. We are looking for an on-call Somali Interpreter to accompany therapists to the homes of the children and families we serve to provide oral interpretation and written translation services. This position requires a minimum of one year of related experience in interpreting and translating in Somali. Driving will be required therefore you must be at least 21, have a current driver license, car insurance, reliable transportation and a good driving record. Burmese Interpreter
